Spring Arts Festival 2014

Looking for something to do this weekend?  Head downtown and enjoy the art and music on display for the Spring Arts Festival.

It’s a fun show and usually a great way to spend a few hours.  Strolling through the historic district, soaking in the sun and beautiful art while music strays off the nearby stages filling the air.  The festival features hundreds of artists, from around the country.

When and Where?

It’s in downtown Gainesville, on NE 1st Street between University Ave and 8th Ave

9am – 5:30pm Saturday April 5, plus a concert starting at 7pm Saturday evening

Noon – 5:30pm Sunday April 6 2014

Evening Concert in the Park

Leyla McCalla and the Carolina Chocolate Drops take the stage at 7pm (Sat April 5th), in the Thomas Center gardens.

Leyla McCalla has a beautiful voice and an authentic, folksy feel to her music.

They’re scheduled to be on for 90-minute set at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, on the Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival Garden Stage on the grounds of the Thomas Center.

It’s a free concert and open to the public, so enjoy!
