Prices by Quartile – what’s a quartile??
If you take all the homes for sale and break them up into 4 even groups by price you get quarters. If you sorted them by price before you quartered them you have “quartiles”. The “top quartile” is the 1/4 of homes for sale that are asking the most money. The “bottom quartile” is the 1/4 of homes for sale that are asking the least money.
