112 Alachua County & Gainesville real estate listings had price reductions in the MLS system last week, up from 131 the prior week. (Changes for 8/2/09 – 8/8/09)

The largest price drop last week was $100,000 off the asking price of mls 300797, a short sale in Blues Creek. Built in 2006, this is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, home. The reduced price has not been approved by the bank holding the mortgage, so remember that there are several hoops to jump through to secure the house at the advertised price of $279,900.
G.W.Robinson builders had a big showing this week. They take second place with a reduction of $74k on a Turnberry Lake home they built in 2007 that was never sold by them. Now asking $598,500 for the 3,218 sqft 4 bedroom, 3 bath home overlooking the lake.
G.W.Robinson builders also cut prices on several of their other inventory homes, including 3 townhomes that made our top 25 list this week.
