The La Chua trail is a short 1.5 mile walk from your car to a raised observation platform. In between there is an amazing array of wetlands and animals. We saw 30+ gators in Alachua sink, just 1/2 mile or less from the car. There were wild boar, many birds, and even a momma gator with her brood playing next to the trail.

Getting there:
Head out to SE Gainesville and turn on SE 15th Street. Go to the end of the road and through the park entry gate. The road ends at the limestone parking lot, and the trail starts by the sign at the end. It takes at least 2 hours to do this hike, unless you are jogging.
